Description

Ancient Roman gold ring with poppy intaglio. Horizontally set with an oval cornelian intaglio engraved with a stylised poppy in a closed back collet setting with fine wirework border, flanked by broad integrated shoulders which taper through to a D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, approximately 3.8g in weight, circa 1st - 2nd century AD.
