Description

Ancient Roman crescent moon and star intaglio ring. Set horizontally with an oval cornelian intaglio engraved with the crescent moon and a star, in a closed back rubover setting, the integrated smoothly conforming shoulders taper down to a slim D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold, approximately 3.76g in weight, circa 1st-2nd century AD, accompanied by an Oxford Labs X-ray fluorescence report stating the composition of the metal.
