Description

Edwardian ruby and diamond ring. Set with four round old cut diamonds to centre in a traffic light configuration, in open back rubover millegrain settings with a total weight of 1.20 carats, enclosed within a calibré cut natural unenhanced ruby border, twenty stones in total with an approximate weight of 2.00 carats, further bordered by a single row of forty six round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings, further diamonds to the shoulders, with a total weight of 0.50 carats. The approximate combined diamond weight is 1.70 carats, to a rectangular cluster with a finely pierced gallery and fancy pierced backholing, flanked by split scrolling shoulders and leading down to a solid D-shape shank. Tested yellow gold and platinum, circa 1905.
