Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring, circa 1925. A platinum ring with square bezel set with one central round old cut sapphire with an approximate weight of 1.00 carats, set flush to four inward bowed bands extending toward the four corners of eight tapered step cut sapphires in channel settings with an approximate total weight of 1.00 carats, the semi-circular voids filled with a double stepped border with pierced divides set with thirty six round eight cut diamonds in millegrain bead settings with an approximate total weight of 0.50 carats, all above an openwork arcaded gallery, flanked by raised shoulders, and on a half round shank, in a fitted burgundy leather box marked, ‘BY APPOINTMENT TO HIS MAJESTY THE KING, COLLINGWOOD (JEWELLERS) LTD, 46 CONDUIT ST W.’
