Description

Antique ruby cabochon and diamond cross, French, by Auguste Belleau, circa 1880. A gold and silver pendant cross set with four cushion cut diamonds at the cardinal points, the bottommost with two additional diamonds set to top and bottom, one at centre, one on the bale, all eight in gold claw settings and with an approximate total weight of 1.50 carats, the cross and the bale also each with an x-form set with twenty three rose cut diamonds set in silver, all with an approximate total weight of 0.75 carats, the arms of the cross in the form of open loops set with fifty two cabochon rubies, the bale also set with four cabochon rubies.
